Volume 32, Number 324,
November/December 2007
Included in this issue is Dr Richard Wild's continuation
of his series of Heavy Snowfalls/Blizzards/Snowstorms in Great Britain
and Geopotential Height Differences at 500 hPa is discussed by Dr Y. Y.
Hafez. The Index for Volume 32 is also featured in the centre pages

Number 323, September/October 2007
This issue includes an excellently studied paper on 18th Century
temperatures, by James Rothwell and a Nigerian study on surface
water vapour density.
Also in this issue will be the very popular
monthly TORRO whirlwind report for the United Kingdom (this
month including January to April, 2007 reports) compiled and
written by Dr Terence Meaden and Paul Brown. Backdated reports
from 2002 to 2005 inclusive will be included in issues during
Vol 33.
Volume 32, Number 322, August
Each year, the IJMet publishes an entire issue devoted to the
TORRO annual reviews. The
reviews document all of TORRO's important research that is
compiled over the previous year (2006). The reports were
presented at the TORRO spring conference in Oxford. 2007's data
will be published in next year's annual review issue.
Volume 32, Number 321, July
This issue includes a paper on thunderstorm occurrence
in Poland, a short paper on aerosol concentration and biomass burning,
and a paper on the United Kingdom storms which occurred on 10 September
2006.
August's International Severe Weather Summary is also
featured along with December 2006's TORRO whirlwind report.

Number 320, June 2007
Articles for the June issue this year include an interesting paper on
severe thunderstorm and tornado forecasting using GCM modelling outputs
in the Chhota Nagpur region of India; and an article on multiple ball
lightning observations in Neuruppin, Germany and an article on the
intense rain across South Wales and Southern England 10 September 2005.
This issue also includes the usual TORRO tornado
whirlwind monthly statistics and other regular features.

This month's issue has a special storm chasing theme
running throughout. Stunning photography from storm chasers including
this absolutely timeless image by Stuart Robinson from TORRO of the
Harper TX (USA) tornado in 2004.
Matthew Clark has the lead paper this month with an
absolutely terrific paper on reasons for the low incidence of severe
thunderstorms on the Great Plains in 2006. This excellent article is not
to be missed and let's hope 2007 brings more activity for our storm
deprived chasers! The other academic paper this month is Peter Kirk's
tremendous study on Tornado Climatology in the UK focussing on the years
1980-2004. A short weather experience article from a new chaser from New
Jersey (USA) reports of how he is "Still Looking Skyward" after his
first storm chase experience in 2006.

Number 318, April 2007
This is
an issue not to be missed with some of the most stunning images possibly
ever published since the relaunch, including the front cover photograph
of this amazing fiery sunset. The poster section will dazzle you with
some absolutely extraordinary lightning images encapsulating the entire
photo section this month.
Articles
proposed for this issue are the usual TORRO Tornado Division report, for
August 2006, the final part to the controversial study, "Solar Pillars
of Fire" (Parts 1 and 2 can be found in the
April editions in 2005 and 2006 respectively).
This month's lead article is a paper discussing
changes in annual rainfall characteristics between 1931-1960 and
1961-1990 in Nigeria.

Number 317, March 2007
This issue
has the winning line-up of another photograph competition, but this
competition was in conjunction with UKww who celebrated their fifth
birthday in February - Happy Birthday UKww.
Papers this month include July's TORRO Tornado
Division report; an interesting paper discussing the best way to predict
probable maximum precipitation in India and a good sequel to Yuk Yee
Yan's winter thermal stress paper published last year in IJMet - Summer
Thermal Stress in Hong Kong is this month's lead paper.

Featuring the Photo competition Winner on the
front and rear cover spread and runners up in the Poster section
and inside rear cover, February contains some stunning
photographs. Thank you to all who entered - entries can be seen
on the Photo Competition page.

in with a spectacular crash with this stunning image on the front cover.
In this issue, Dr. Alexander Keul reports
of a Ball Lightning event in Germany, followed by the physics of the
event, Dr Temi Ologunorisa discusses thunderstorm activity in Nigeria.
Amongst these are our 'regular' features of the International Severe
Weather Summary (May 2006), and TORRO Thunder report for the UK (June
and July 2006). This issue also sees a special additional note on the
Chinese Dust Storms which were featured in October's Journal.
