This issue also includes the usual TORRO tornado whirlwind monthly statistics and other regular features.

Volume 32, Number 319, May 2007

This month's issue has a special storm chasing theme running throughout. Stunning photography from storm chasers including this absolutely timeless image by Stuart Robinson from TORRO of the Harper TX (USA) tornado in 2004.

Matthew Clark has the lead paper this month with an absolutely terrific paper on reasons for the low incidence of severe thunderstorms on the Great Plains in 2006. This excellent article is not to be missed and let's hope 2007 brings more activity for our storm deprived chasers! The other academic paper this month is Peter Kirk's tremendous study on Tornado Climatology in the UK focussing on the years 1980-2004. A short weather experience article from a new chaser from New Jersey (USA) reports of how he is "Still Looking Skyward" after his first storm chase experience in 2006.

Volume 32, Number 318, April 2007

This is an issue not to be missed with some of the most stunning images possibly ever published since the relaunch, including the front cover photograph of this amazing fiery sunset. The poster section will dazzle you with some absolutely extraordinary lightning images encapsulating the entire photo section this month.

Articles proposed for this issue are the usual TORRO Tornado Division report, for August 2006, the final part to the controversial study, "Solar Pillars of Fire" (Parts 1 and 2 can be found in the April editions in 2005 and 2006 respectively). This month's lead article is a paper discussing changes in annual rainfall characteristics between 1931-1960 and 1961-1990 in Nigeria.
