We are
immensely proud to have so many grand scientists on our International
Editorial Board. Since 1975 the Board have helped publish pioneering
work and lead the Journal to the forefront of meteorology research in
the UK and worldwide.
As the Board
expands, the International Journal of Meteorology continues to be
nurtured and enveloped with an astounding meteorological grounding
spanning the entire world. For this and for the time, care and attention
each member of the Board gives, voluntarily, the Journal's Editor is
extremely honoured and proud to have such a prestigious backing.
If you
would like to be considered as a member of our expanding and prestigious
Editorial Board, there are a few conditions to be met. These are:
1. Review article/paper
submissions pertaining to your field of interest/expertise in
meteorology. There’s no saying how many will be sent to you for review,
sometimes there could be none, then you may get one or two a year, it
depends on our paper intake annually – if you did not have the time to
review the paper at that particular moment, or the paper did not
interest you enough to review it, I would then pass it to another board
member;
2. We like to encourage
you all to contribute with an article/photo/letter to the editor
(anything really, pertaining to severe weather) at least once annually –
I’m not asking for a 10,000 word scientific paper each year – it can be
anything and as long or short as you wish, but must it must be at
least once annually. Of course we would like you to perhaps write a
short review on your country’s severe weather from the previous year of
publication (which most currently on the board do). Also, you can submit
as many contributions as you wish - the more the better, but our
requirement is at least once annually;
3. Promote the Journal at
functions/conferences wherever you can and get the chance to. Please
request leaflets/business cards if you want them;
4. An annual financial
contribution is gratefully received, but is not essential;
5. Just general
encouragement to people/libraries/universities etc subscribing and
simply general enthusiasm and active role play in the Journal and its
future.
